FOREWORD

The Center for Knowledge & Understanding of Tropical Architecture & Interior (KUTAI) was established by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) as a research group based in Seri Iskandar campus , state of Perak, Malaysia on October 2000.  With the main aim is to uplift the Malay heritage; we are dedicated to the preservation, conservation and sustainability of the regional arts, architecture, culture and the heritage of this region known as The Malay Archipelago or Nusantara. Through our commitment to safeguarding the work of local genius, parallel to tradition and religion values, KUTAI plays major role in connecting the academia, the experts, the place and the community.
